Richard Isenberg, MD

Dr. Isenberg grew up in San Jose, California where he met his future wife in high school. He and his wife, Liz, have been married for 48 wonderful years and have one son. Dr. Isenberg and his wife have lived in Arizona for over twenty years.

After graduating from San Jose State University with a degree in Molecular Biology, Dr. Isenberg worked in a research laboratory testing new antibiotics to treat Valley Fever. He was inspired to enter Medicine and graduated from the University of Utah in 1985.  During medical school he worked in a laboratory investigating the effects of the intraocular lenses used in cataract surgery. This research helped improve the design of today’s lenses. 

Dr. Isenberg pursued further training in Ophthalmology at the University of Utah and the Ochsner Medical Foundation in New Orleans. Dr. Isenberg is a board certified ophthalmologist with an interest in eyelid reconstructive and cosmetic surgery. Dr. Isenberg also treats a full range of medical eye conditions including dry eyes, infections, allergies, glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetic retinopathy.
